Lansdowne ‘Arts on the Avenue’ Festival seeks exhibitors, vendors

Although spring may seem far away, the application window is closing soon for artists and artisans who want to operate a booth at the Lansdowne Arts on the Avenue Festival in May.

Artists who want to have an exhibit in the annual festival must first apply by Jan. 4 and pay a nonrefundable $25 application fee. If selected, they must pay an additional $75 booth fee by Feb. 8 to secure their space. The event is slated to take place May 17 from 12-6 p.m., with a rain date of May 31.

Vendor applications from “arts-related businesses” are also due by Jan. 4, and those whose applications are approved will owe a $100 booth payment by Feb. 8. Both exhibit and vendor applicants will be notified of their application outcomes by Jan. 26.

Founded in 2003 by the Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation, the festival annually features more than 70 juried articles as well as live music, performances, demonstrations, children’s activities, food trucks and a beer garden.

The festival takes place at 30 N. Lansdowne Ave. and is one block away from Lansdowne’s SEPTA train station. Parking in the borough is also free on Sundays.
