Lansdowne man brandishes gun over parking space dispute, police say
A disagreement over a parking space is a common struggle, especially after snowfall in our region. The Philadelphia-famed lawn chair parking “spot saved” icon has spread far and wide, causing giggles nationwide. But there wasn’t much to joke about when a recent Lansdowne Borough fight broke out over just that topic.
The Lansdowne Borough Police recently reported that two individuals “arguing over a parking space” boiled over on Jan. 28. The police were called out around 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28 to the area of East Lacrosse Avenue for a complaint of “threats involving a firearm.”
According to police, the two were engaged in the disagreement when a third neighbor became involved in the fight. The third person exited the home allegedly displaying two firearms, police said.
Police said that that gun-wielding individual was identified and charges are pending as a result of the incident.
