NLDS Game 1 start time for Phillies revealed
The Phillies don’t yet know their opponent for the NLDS, but they know they will be playing their first postseason game at night.
Red October will kick off Saturday evening at Citizens Bank Park, with MLB.com‘s Paul Casella laying out the two possible start times, which differ by half an hour:
Game time announced for Game 1 of the NLDS:
– IF YANKEES ADVANCE: Phillies will play at 6:38 p.m. on Saturday.
– IF RED SOX ADVANCE: Phillies will play at 6:08 p.m. on Saturday.

The Red Sox took a 1-0 lead over the Yankees with a thrilling 3-1 victory Tuesday night. Boston will look to close out a series win over the Yankees this evening with Brayan Bello set to face off with Carlos Rodón. Should the Red Sox win, Game 1 of the series between the Phillies and either the Los Angeles Dodgers or Cincinnati Reds will be played at 6:08 ET on Saturday.
Los Angeles defeated Cincinnati 10-5 last night, meaning that if the Dodgers defeat the Reds again Wednesday, they’ll advance to face the Phillies in the best-of-five NLDS. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will take the ball for the Dodgers tonight, with Zack Littell on the bump for the Reds.
